Management Supportive Supervision led by the Special Services Unit is a fundamental strategy for optimizing the performance of Primary Health Care centres. By focusing on regular visits, feedback, capacity building, and fostering teamwork, management can ensure a conducive environment for healthcare workers to deliver high-quality services.
On Monday 5th February 2024, the team visited Oyigbo Primary Health Care Authority in Oyigbo Local Government, Egberu HC and Mirinwanyi PHC which has been renovated. In Khana, the team also visited Kpean and Kwawa HC as part of its Supportive Supervision. The team was accompanied by the Medical Officers of Health in both LGAs.
In Kwawa, the ES Dr. Kinikanwo I. Green made a commitment to refurbish the Health Centre but charged the community, youths and women to utilize the facility and take ownership. He highlighted the benefits of utilizing the facility to include free deliveries for women who attended antenatal care four times to mention a few.
Investing in supportive supervision is an investment in the well-being of both the health care providers and the communities they serve.
