The refresher training of Heads of Facilities, Health Information Officers, and the Monitoring and Evaluation Officers from the 23 LGAs of Rivers State on Primary Eye Care Services was organized by Rivers State Primary Health Care Management Board (RSPHCMB) on the 22nd February, 2024.
Primary eye care, comprises health education, early detection and management of these disease condition, prompt referrals. As services are to commence in the facilities, there is need to conduct a refresher training on all components of Primary eye care services.
Sixty-nine health workers were retrained on primary eye care services, proper record keeping and data collection and the effective use of primary eye care data tools.
At the end of the session, an interactive question and answer session ensued.
