The training of Medical Laboratory Scientists and Technicians was organized by Rivers State Primary Health Care Management Board (RSPHCMB) in collaboration Professionals from the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital on the 5th of March, 2024.
Thirty (30) Medical Laboratory Scientists/ Technicians were trained on infection prevention and control, Primary eye care, comprises health education, early detection and management of these disease condition, prompt referrals.
The main objective of this training was to build the capacity of primary Health workers (Laboratory Scientists/Laboratory Technicians) proper hand washing, donning and doffing of personal protective equipment, etc.
At the end of the session, an interactive question and answer session ensued.
