It was an interesting outing for the RSPHCMB team with support from WHO on the 21st April, 2023. WHO commemorating World Health Day in the very hard-to-reach settlements within Abua called EMAGHO with an integrated outreach package.

The RSPHCMB team arrived in company of the LGA team led by the Medical Officer of Health Dr. Smith Osoma to the community. Prior to their arrival, the community and community stakeholders had been duly notified of the Integrated outreach package scheduled for them by the RSPHCMB, Community mobilisation done by way of town crying and house-to-house mobilization.

The intervention package was planned for children: Immunization, screening for malnutrition, deworming and VitA supplementation.

Women for: family planning, SP intermittent antimalaria treatment, Routine ANC drugs for pregnancy and Women of Child bearing age.

Men: for screening of High blood pressure and COVID~19 vaccination for all eligible age groups.

The community was served and appreciated the intervention and the government’s interest in their health and also requested for more of such outreaches to them by the RSPHCMB.
