The Executive Secretary of Rivers State Primary Health Care Management Board, Prof. Kinikanwo Innocent Green, has commissioned the Primary Health Care Annex Office and Doctor’s Lodge in Emohua, which was built by the Executive Chairman of Emohua Local Government Area, Dr. Chidi Llyod.
In his remarks, Prof. Green commended Dr. Chidi Llyod for constructing this facility in Emohua. He expressed the desire of the Board to continuously work with the LGA Council to work diligently to improve healthcare delivery in Emohua Local Government Area.
He further mentioned the board’s commitment to upgrading healthcare facilities in Emohua, including providing necessary staffing, equipment, and furniture.
On behalf of the Rivers State Primary Health Care Management Board, Prof. Green extended greetings from the Rivers State Governor and the Honourable Commissioner for Health, Dr. Adaeze Oreh and reiterated their commitment to provide quality health care services to the people and residents of Rivers State
The Executive Chairman of Emohua Local Government Area, Barr Chidi Llyod, expressed his gratitude to the primary health care workers for their effective healthcare delivery in the Local Government stressing that the essence of the building is for LGA Program managers to be able to provide Health services in a conducive environment and for Doctors and Nurses to be able to reside in the council to provide better health care to patients at the Council Primary Health Centre. The Chairman emphasized that this project represents a legacy he can leave for his people.
The Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Deborah Amalaya, praised the rarity of such a project in the State. She noted that she has visited other local government areas and can attest to the difference in infrastructure. She thanked Dr. Chidi Llyod for his partnership with the primary healthcare management board, which has led to the creation of this impressive facility.
