A two-day training on Basic Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support organized by the Rivers State Primary Health Care Management Board in partnership with American Heart Association was conducted on the 4th and 5th of October, 2022. The aim of the training was to ensure that frontline health workers are equipped with skills to render life support services in emergency situations. The training was facilitated by Dr. Lawson and Mr. Sydney Jack. This training was the first of its kind in the Board and 20 health personnel which included Doctors, Nurses and Community Health Officers in charge of facilities benefited. In the future, more batches will be trained to increase service coverage.
