The Rivers State Primary Health Care Management Board (RSPHCMB), under the leadership of the Executive Secretary, Dr. Kinikanwo Innocent Green, organized the 2024 Annual Operational Plan Development Workshop. The workshop brought together Directors, Medical Officers of Health, and Program Managers to discuss and develop plans to improve healthcare services in the State.
In line with the aim of ensuring effective Primary Health Care (PHC) delivery in the State, Dr. Green, in his opening remarks, expressed his gratitude to the Board Directors, Medical Officers of Health from the 23 LGAs and Heads of Units for attending the workshop. He stressed the importance of the RSPHCMB work plan as an important tool to aid workflow and improve health outcomes. He further encouraged all participants to contribute to development of the work plan for a better coordinated, comprehensive and integrated health care at the PHC level for the State.
Overall, the workshop facilitated an enriching learning experience for the staff of the Rivers State Primary Healthcare Board with the combined knowledge and skills acquired from the resource persons, the participants were equipped to effectively engage communities, develop operational plans, and utilize technology for improved healthcare management in the State.
